Toffee Scones


3-1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup slivered almonds, toasted and chopped
2 cups whipping cream, whipped to stiff peaks
1 cup Dottie's Toffee crumbs or pieces


1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line baking sheets with foil, butter foil.
2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in mixing bowl.
3. Fold whipped cream into dry ingredients. Knead until a soft dough forms.
4. Roll dough into 1-1/4in thickness. Cut into wedges.

Place wedges onto baking sheet, about 2 in. apart. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle sugar on top. Bake until golden brown, checking after 18 minutes.
